Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a basic, simple, safe test, used in a multitude of clinical contexts, for example to measure the frequency and heart rate, to check the position and dimension of the heart chambers, detect the presence of possible myocardium and cardiac conduction system defects, check the effects of certain medication and the functionality of the pacemaker. The equipment registers the transmission of the patient’s heart electrical activity.
Once the sensors are attached to the skin, the test lasts 1 minute.
Then the Doctor writes the medical report.
In most cases there is no need to shave chest’s hair.
