PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy is the branch of medecine dealing  with care, prevention and rehabilitation of patients suffering from pathologies and inborn or not dysfunctions in the neurological, muscular, skeleton and visceral field through different therapeutic interventions.

Our Center will provide sporting shorts whenever the person doesn't want to be in underwear.

The physiotherapeutic treatments take place on a specific bed and last around 30 to 45 minutes.

Sometimes it's also necessary to have  the patients do specific muscle strenghtening, stretching and postural exercises and in those cases a chair or the wall can be  used as  supports.

Based on different cases, a specific rehabilitative program will be set up with specific exercises the patient will be able  to practice  at home during and after the whole treatment.

One of the  particularities  of our Center is the combination of Physiotherapy, Posturology,  Orthopedics and dental Gnatology (related to chewing and jaw occlusion). Our professionally qualified experts are specialized in alternatively using these techniques in a complementary way, therefore accelarating and increasing the benefits on  the patient, also from a financial point of view.

PRE-SURGERY PREPARATION

(a minimum of  5 sessions,  2 to 3 times a week).

The sessions last 30 minutes and are intended to prepare the muscles of the bodypart that will undergo the surgery in order to recover rapidly. The first phase implies a serie of exercises with a manual resistance, followed by band exercises  and  a specific program,  set up by the physiotherapist, to be done at the gym.

If needed  this can be combined with a personal electrical muscle stimulation and the SpiroTiger program.

MUSCLE STRENGHTENING

(10 sessions or more if needed, a minimum of 2 to 3 times a week)

The sessions last 30 minutes with the purpose of increasing muscle strenght in a specific area.

It can be done right after surgery and  it implies a manual resistance, followed by resistance band exercises and lastly a specific program set up by the physiotherapist to be done at the gym.

It can be combined  with a professional electrical muscle stimulation treatment.

JOINT RECOVERY

(10 or more sessions if  necessary, a minimum of 3 to 5 times a week)

The sessions last 30 minutes with the purpose of totally recovering joint mobility.

It is generally done after surgery, plaster cast or after wearing a brace.

It can be done right after  the surgery or after removing the orthopedic brace.

It consists in gentle movements below the pain threshold with massages, pain relieving and anti-inflammatory natural  therapies.

RECOVERY OF BODY-SEGMENT FUNCTIONALITIES

(10 sessions or more if needed, a minimum of 2 to 4 a week)

Sessions of  30 minutes, with the purpose of totally recovering mobility, whole strenght, balance and control of the affected area.

It can be done immediately after surgery or after removing the orthopedic brace.

It is executed on specific areas like the cervicals, shoulders, the elbow, the wrist, the hand, the hip, the back, the knee, the ankle, the foot. If necessary, this can be combined with electrical muscle stimulation and TENS (pain releiving electrical current).

BALANCE RECOVERY

(10 or more sessions if needed, 2 to 4 times a week).

The sessions last 30 minutes and are intended to recover the complete postural control, mainly of the joints, of the ankle, knees and hip after surgeries or sprains.

It can be done one month after surgery, but can be effective even if done years later, in case the patient did nothing at the time.

It implies specific balance and strenght exercises, done with the help of the physiotherapist.

ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION

(1 to 5 sessions can be necessary, depending on the gravity of the contracture, 1 or 3 times a week)

This passive muscle strengthening is done using a professional equipment, having specific programs intended to reinforce the body parts.

Depending on the muscle to strenghten the physiotherapist will have  the patient sit in the adapted position in order to obtain the most benefits.

Every muscle demands a specific position to be able to attain the maximum stimulation.

RELAXING MASSAGE

(one session when needed)

Sessions last 45 minutes and they are intended to relieve muscle tensions accumulated during work or because of stress.

It consists of a mixed massage, deep pressures on the muscle areas and light pressures on the delicate areas like the face, head and small joints.

DECONTRACTING MASSAGE

(one session when  needed or depending on the gravity of the contracture,   2 to 5 sessions can be necessary,  1 to 3 a week)

Sessions last 30 minutes and are intended to dissolve muscle contractures.

It consists in a massage alternating deep and light pressures, mostly concentrated on the contracted area, but also on the surrounding areas.

MASSAGE FOR SCARS AND POST-SURGERY SCAR TISSUE

(5 or more sessions, depending on necessity, 2 to 3 times a week)

Sessions last 30 minutes and are intended to reduce stiffness around scars and post surgery scar tissue.

It consists in a deep massage on the scar or scar tissue and the surrounding area.

It can be done 3 weeks after the surgery and it is effective even given years after, whenever the patient has never done any physiotherapy.

SPORT MASSAGE

(one session if needed or depending on the gravity or the sport requirements, 2 to 5 sessions, 1 to 3 times a week).

Sessions last 45 minutes and can be employed to drain lactic acid or to treat deep muscle contractures from injury or strain  (deep transverse friction massage) or to break down scar tissue.

For lactic acid dreinage, the massage consists in deep pressures on the concerned areas.

In case of muscular strains and contractures  an intense massage, below the pain threshold, is  given in order to restore elasticity to the concerned muscle. It is combined with passive muscle stretching carried out by the physiotherapist.

SpiroTiger is also recommended in these cases to considerably speed up the recovery of the muscle lesion through elimination of carbon dioxide and muscle soreness, with a great increase in oxygenation.

SPORT PHYSIOTHERAPY

TAILORD MADE PROGRAM TO GO BACK TO PRACTICE

(At least 10 sessions or more, depending on necessity, 1 to 3 times a week)

Sessions last 30 to 45 minutes, they are intended to restore the athletes best physical condition for a specific sport.

It can be done even long after a surgery if the patient has never done any physiotherapy program at the time.

It’s tailor-made with specific exercises, SpiroTiger program and possible tests and Biophysical treatments adapted to the athlete.

Everyone can benefit from training the respiration with SpiroTiger.

SpiroTiger is the only gymnastic of the respiration system  that specifically trains the breathing muscles, helping with shortness of breath, without overloading the cardiovascular and muscoloskeletal  system. The functional training of the respiratory capacity improves coordination, posture and spine mobility.

SpiroTiger is easy, safe and allows training everywhere.
